Wireless, without the need for a connected PC or smartphone, and with motion tracked controllers - the Oculus Quest could be the breakout product that finally makes VR mainstream by eliminating all the inconveniences. But to do that, it will need some great apps and games to go with it. Here, we'll keep track of all the confirmed and rumored releases.
The Oculus Quest is slated to launch this spring for $399, and Oculus have promised 50 launch titles lined up to start with. So far, this is what we have confirmed, and the likely rumors.
Confirmed at GDC and PAX East
Beat Saber, the wildly popular rhythm slash-em-up, was recently confirmed to be on Oculus Quest by a demo at GDC. Even better, VR's killer app will also be a launch day title on the most accessible immersive headset to date.
AT GDC we also learned that Stormland, one of our most highly anticipated VR games for Oculus, will also be available on the Quest, as well as Western-themed Dead and Buried II.
But that's not all! Space Pirate Trainer is what you'd call an oldie but a goodie in the relatively short history of VR games, and the wave shooter continues to be one of the best introductions to VR you can get. Naturally, the Quest needed to have this.
Shadow Point, the new narrative adventure game from Coatsink featuring the vocal talents of Sir Patrick Stewart will also be coming to the Quest.
During PAX East in Boston we also learned that Dance Central has been added to the line-up of Oculus Quest.
In addition to these games, we also know that popular social VR apps Rec Room and VRChat will also be available on the new standalone headset.
All-in-all, the range of content on the Oculus Quest won't make the owners feel left out, even if the picture quality won't quite be able to keep up with PC-connected headsets with high-end graphics cards. Cross-play functionality also means that you'll be able to play with your friends even if they prefer computer-tethered headsets.

Check out the trailer for Vader Immortal below, courtesy of Gamespot:
We're still not quite sure how interactive this will be, but how could would it feel to force choke a poor underling with your own hands?
